Freshers’ Fairs have been organised by the UK’s students’ unions for decades and everyone knows what they offer clients in terms of high footfall, an exciting atmosphere and an opportunity to “showcase the brand”, recruit new customers and/or gather data.
Comment
Freshers’ Fairs remain extremely popular for both local and national clients. They provide an excellent opportunity for companies to demonstrate an interest in the student market and advertisers gain a significant PR benefit just by being there.
Of course, anyone who’s visited Freshers Fairs over the years will recognise that they are now an even more hectic “Freebie-Fest” than they used to be. As a consequence, it’s important to plan Freshers Fair campaigns in detail - not least by selecting the most suitable locations for stands.
