Adverts and links on SU websites

Web advertising encompasses banner ads, links and sponsored sections or pages. Advertisers can direct students to their own website so responses are both immediate and completely measurable.

As we all know, banner ads can easily become "wallpaper" on the home pages of host websites or, even worse, an irritating "diversion".
However, a cursory glance at the way banners are used on student's union websites shows that they've got the balance just right: adverts are clear and relevant - they will be seen by the target audience but they're not annoying.
